Pierre Marchand grew up in Montreal, and quickly developed a reputation in the Canadian music scene as an excellent musician and engineer. He played keyboards or bass on albums by such artists as Daniel Lanois, the Neville Brothers and Tragically Hip. He engineered records for Daniel Lanois before moving on to produce artists on his own.

Pierre has produced all of Sarah's albums since 'Solace' in 1991, and has co-written and performed on many of her songs. He produced and recorded this album, and co-wrote the songs "In Your Shoes," "Monsters," "Broken Heart," and "Brink of Destruction."
